A tour of this historic fortress and all its exhibition

From Fortezza/Franzensfeste railway station we follow the cycle path for approximately 1 km towards Bressanone/Brixen.

The visit lasts from 1 ½ to 2 hours. Visitors will see the military training area in the lower part of the fortress, the Neo-gothic church, the gold bunker, the obelisk with the geodesic point, then climb the stairway to the middle part of the fortress with its combat rooms and, on request, also climb the huge granite staircase from the lower to the upper part of the fortress and view its structures including the ancient kitchens.
Sturdy footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions is recommended.
