The Laubengasse
Via dei Portici is an old, but very well preserved street in Merano. It features a series of low arcades supported by stone pillars. From the Middle Ages onwards, the via dei Portici was the very centre of trade in Tyrol. To this day, it remains Merano’s busiest shopping area.
